Las Vegas Vacation

We enjoyed a five day vacation to Las Vegas. Saw several shows, Hoover Dam and our old house and neighborhood. Frank did a little gambling but we forgot about smoking in the casinos. UGH!! Food was great and some of the free sights are wonderful, for example the Bellagio outdoor dancing water fountains and inside the Conservatory full of flowers, sculptures and shooting water features.

Phillies Game in Houston

Frank bought tickets to see the Phillies vs Houston on April 10 without realizing the game would celebrate the 45th anniversary of the opening of the Astrodome. Frank attended the opening game as a 2nd Lt while stationed in San Antonio. Frank was able to say hello to two former Astro players, Bob Bruce who pitched that first game and Larry Dirker, Larry Dirker attended the Spurs game with Frank on the night that the water canons went off. It was a great game. The Phillies won the game we attended 9-6 and we enjoyed the wildflowers which are just hitting their peak along Inrterstate 10 between Houston and San Antonio.

Spring Awakens Frost Damaged Plants

Spring has awakened most of the frost damaged plants in our back yard. We're holding out some hope that the last two bourganvillas will come up from the roots. They have until the end of April to show us they still are alive.

Spurs Youth Basketball League 20th Year Recognition
